Traffic & Transpotech Congress and Seminars

Gulf Nations have aggressive transportation visions that will overhaul and transform urban mobility as we know it. From self-driving vehicles to first and last mile solutions, there seems to be no end to the innovation being developed that will revolutionise the way traffic flows through some of the region’s most populated and congested cities. Also on their agendas is the urgent need to improve road safety to reduce traffic casualties.

The Traffic & Transpotech Digital Week Congress and Seminar programme took place on 14 -  16 December 2020 and brought together virtual attendees and experts from around the world to share their expertise and knowledge and discuss the latest innovations in traffic and transpotech to enhance and accelerate the adoption of this technology regionally and globally.

ISRAELI ITS SOLUTIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION CHALLENGES

The ITS Israel organization, which currently operates under the umbrella of AEAI – The Association of Engineers, Architects, and Graduates in Technological Sciences in Israel, began operations in 2007 as an NGO, by a group of volunteers, professionals who represent different sub-disciplines of ITS. Motivated by the need to enhance safety, improve efficiency, and reduce the environmental impact of transportation, the organization defined its aims to include the integration of ITS systems in the national transportation strategy, to augment ITS development by creating forums for local and international exchange of ideas, and to promote the cooperation between ITS stake holders. Throughout the years ITS Israel organized annual conferences with the participation of world experts, conducted numerous workshops, joined forces and collaborated with international ITS organizations, organized the first international “post COVID-19” discussion on the  impact of the pandemic on transportation, led an accelerator/competition for start-ups who propose technological relief
to the impact of COVID-19 on transportation, signed MOUs for cooperation with several ITS organizations world-wide, and cooperated with the Israeli transportation authorities in way of advise and assistance in various activities. In view of the professional public needs, the organization has recently started to conduct a series of professional web-seminars which have been accepted enthusiastically and are in great demand.
