Dutch firm DHV to troubleshoot Riyadh traffic problems

Saudi Arabia's ArRiyadh Development Authority (ADA) has selected Netherland-headquartered Royal HaskoningDHV (DHV) to tackle 30 major traffic bottlenecks in the capital, Riyadh. Under the two-year $1.8m contract, DHV will map the existing traffic flows, in consultation with the city's traffic police, based on an extensive monitoring programme. The project will involve collaboration between experts from the company's various disciplines, including traffic engineering, traffic safety, road design, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The ADA will control the subcontracting and selection of companies to provide the traffic management systems.
